What is Immersion Therapy? 

Immersion Therapy™ is an award-winning therapy method that takes place in a weightless underwater environment using SCUBA equipment. It’s an individualised and evidence based Allied Health service designed to increase functional capacity, clinical outcomes and enhance social and community participation. 

Immersion Therapy™ can help a broad range of individuals, from those living with physical and intellectual disabilities, injuries, to those with serious medical conditions. The therapy aims to improve mobility, muscle conditioning, confidence, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing. 

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. We have experienced professionals on hand during every session, and all sessions are tailored to individual abilities and needs. 

No, you don’t need to know how to swim. Immersion Therapy™ isn’t about swimming; it’s about experiencing therapeutic benefits in an underwater environment. Our team will ensure your safety and comfort throughout the session. 

We do not offer SCUBA diving lessons. We will train and support you in the core skills required to be able to be fully immersed using the SCUBA equipment.

Each session will go for 1 hour with approximately 45mins in the water however the length of each session may vary based on individual needs and goals. This can be discussed when you book your session.

Comfortable swimwear is ideal for your Immersion Therapy™ session. If you have any specific needs or concerns, feel free to discuss these with us and we will work with you to ensure you are comfortable at all times.

No, all necessary equipment will be provided during the therapy session.

Our team comprises highly trained and experienced allied health professionals specialising in underwater therapy. Each team member is committed to upholding our values of Inclusion, Dignity, and Responsibility. 

NDIS
Belgravia Leisure provides Immersion Therapy to Plan Managed and Self-Managed NDIS participants. Immersion Therapy does not need to be approved or stated in your NDIS plan for you to access it.

Immersion Therapy is $185.00 per session. People most commonly attend sessions weekly, but we can also support people who want to attend more or less frequently.

Participants can self-refer or be referred by their treating GP, Medical Specialist or Rehabilitation Provider. To refer a client, please fill out the EOI form and the team will be in contact
